Hey, it's Me

Good morning. I can't believe I have just set up a blog! Live Love Laugh Be Happy. Live each day as though it might be your last. Love unconditionally. Laugh a lot. Be a happy person. Actually I have found that being happy is a choice most of the time. CHOICES - well, that is a subject do discuss at some time.

Today is Saturday, August 16, 2008. It is 8:00 am. Today I am choosing to finish organizing the "stuff" in the garage. We started yesterday and it looks pretty good. However, about 1:00 am I got the brainstorm to take all the "stuff" out of the computer room closet and put it in plastic boxes so I can store it in the garage. Neatly of course. Now there is CHOICE. Do I really need all the "stuff" I have accumulated in the past ahhhhhhh years!! How about some of you reading this let me know what you have finally done with all your "stuff". Oh my goodness, I could start talking about how "stuff" crowds your mind. "Should I sew today, or make cards, or embroider something, or make a scrapebook, or, or, or......" The list goes on and on if we store too much "stuff".

See, I have chosen to dwell on "stuff' simply because I still have so much. OK, so how about it - let me hear from you as to how you would handle your "stuff".

Gotta go - gramps and I both have doctor appointments.

Today is the day the Lord has made and we will be glad in it.

Well I handle "stuff" by shoving it in every possible corner and shelf space available. Fortunately we are still at the point where the "stuff" isn't so much the problem as the space is! (just give us 20-30-50 years, though - we'll get accumulate!)
Cleaning out all the junk we don't use is a great idea, but a warning from my experience - when you're feeling emotionally unattached it can be profitable to throw out more than you normally would. However, be careful not to throw out things you would regret. For the most part I have done well, but there are a few things I wish so badly I hadn't given away. So go with strong vigor...but not harsh vigor toward even special things! :-D
