January 2, 2009 Each year I start out with the same old "wanting to do better" in so many areas. I finally have learned not to even make resolutions 'cause it is hard to break and not feel guilty (well, a little guilty). So, this year I am just starting out with "This is the day which the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it." I am reading in I John and enjoy it so much. I would encourage you to read this little book. To know Jesus and to keep His commandments should be the joy of our Christian life. So, I shall stay there awhile and let it sink in.
Here is a picture that someone sent me on email. The three birds actually look like someone is smiling. Could it be God smiling at us? I thought it was interesting and wanted to let you all see it too.
I am looking forward to tomorrow because our granddaughter and grandson will be here for a few hours. We are meeting for lunch. Always so sweet to meet family and see each other face to face.
